November 3. Golf. J he Wanganui golf season was closed last Saturday, when mixed foursomes were played for prizes presented-by Mr. Watson (the president). Thirty ypuples started, and the competition was so close that no fewer than seven couples tied for first place, with a score of one down on bogey, a result which must be highly. gratifying to the . handicapping committee. Mrs. Fletcher Harrison, of Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs. Peat in Feilding. Mrs. W. C. Wall, of St. John's Hill, who has been on a seven-months’ trip of the North Island and Australia, has returned.
