A nwxed foursomes match played last week in connection with the Ashburton Golf Club for prizes presented by Mr W. J. P. Hotlgkdns, resulted as follows:—• Mrs D. Friedlander and J. R. The final for the vhampionship was played on Saturday, when D. Wood beat E. A. Denham. .At one stage of the game Denham letl by 3 holes, which later was altered to 5 down against him. Then the score was “all square,” after which Wood established a lead, and ultimately won by 6 holes.
