August 31. Visiting Golfers. The ladies’ team from the Aliramar Golf Club, who are on a visit to Nelson, played a singles match with the Nelson ladies on the first day of their visit. They were taken out to the links in drags, and entertained at luncheon at the clubhouse. Eleven matches were played, the Nelson club winning nine to Miramar’s two. The visiting ladies are: Mrs. Freeth, Airs. Frith, Mrs. Watkins, Mrs. Holmes, Alisses Doughty, Seed (2), Didsbury, Grey, Gavin, Marks. Euchre Party.
