TOWSEY—COOPER. 5 I'FI Hamilton, on the 9th inst, a wed- / I ding of considerable interest to I i Aucklanders, and also Wanganui folk was celebrated, the contrading parties being Mr Cyril Arthur Towsey, only son of Mr Arthur Towsey, now of Wanganui, and Miss Mary Cooper, daughter of Mr Charles Cooper, of Auckland. Both parties are well known for tli.ir prominence in musical matters all over New Zealand. It was barely eighteen months ago that Mr. and Mrs To '. ' V returned to Auckland to contie. • a musical career whi-eh brought them both into prominence in England. Mr Cyril Towsey’s capabilities as a pianist and accompanist are well known, whilst Mrs Towsey’s qualities as a singer have won her the highest praise from various parts of the Dominion. The wedding was purposely kept quite in-
formal, and the marriage quietly celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, as neither party wished the function to interfere more than was necessary with their professional engagements. Mrs Towsey intends to continue with her pupils in Auckland, although she will be residing at Hamilton.
