The first monthly medal competition of the season was played last Wednesday and Saturday, and resulted in a win for Miss K. Willis, with a net score of 97, with Miss Lundon runner-up with 99 net. Mr. R. Ferguson won the men's section. with 86 net. and J. Banks and A. H. Nieoli tied for second place with 89 net. The weather was al! against good scores, a gale of wind prevailing throughout the afternoon. The following were the best cards returned:—Miss K. Willis, gross 111 < handicap 14). net 97; Miss R. Lundon. 115 (161. 99; Messrs. Ferguson. 110 (24), 86: J. Banks. 105 (16), 89; A. H. Nieoli. 101 (121. 89; N. Thompson, 116 (24). 92.

The annual match between the captain and secretary’s teams was played on \\ ednesday. The match ended in a win for the secretary by eleven matches to seven.
