May 12. Dinner Party and Daaee. On Friday evening. Mrs Wilding gave a dinner party and impromptu dance at "Fownhope.” Opawa. The hostess wore a gown of black satin and cream lace: Mrs Andrew Anderson, black silk, with overdress of lace and jet; Aliss Anderson, emerald green silk frock, relieved with gold; Aliss Thomas, frock of deep rose satin: with overdress of ninon of the. *an*‘ shade: Alis* Humphrey*, royal blue satin, veiled with blaek ninon; Miss Agues Humphrey*, pale grey crepe de chine, with silver embroideries; the Misses P. at d D. Anderson, pale pink ninon frocks; Aliss Milne, vieux rose silk: Messrs Butterworth. Godby. Bruce, Drake, Campbell, Macdonald, and Anderson 2) were also present. Afternoon Tea. A small afternoon tea was given by Mrs Moreland at Christ’s College on Thursday. Amongst those present were: Mrs Irving, Aliss Moorhouse, Airs Deans, Mrs DennGton. Mrs H. Reeve Auckland ). Mr* G. Merton, Miss Mating, and Airs Anderson. Hinking. An invitation evening was given on Tuesday at the Olympia Skating Rink by the proprietors. Amongst those present were: Me*dames Denniston, G.
