LADIES’ GOLF.
AUCKLAND. The tie for the May medal between Miss Winnie Cotter, Miss Ocil Hull ami Miss Marjorie Towle was played off, and resulted in a win for Miss Cotter with a gross score of 99—handicap 19—80. The second round for the Hope Lewis Rose Bowl was finished on Monday, with the following results :—Miss Gwen Gorrie beat Miss Ruth Buckland 3 u p and 2to play; Miss S. Payton beat Mrs. O’Rorke 5 and 4; Miss M. Gorrie beat Mrs. W. R. Bloomfield 4 and 3; Miss W. Cotter beat Miss E. Pierce 2 and 1; Miss M. Cameron beat Miss Henderson 4 and 2; Mrs. Edmunds gave Miss Rachel Gorrie a bye; Miss Jessie Reid a bye to Miss Cecil Hull; Miss Alison a bye to Miss N. Upton. Entries close for the captain's prize on Thursday with Miss Henderson, hon. see. The captain, Mrs E. D. O’Rorke, is presenting a trophy. The conditions of this match are: Three rounds against bogey, to be played on May 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Entries will elose at the clubhouse on May 11th. Seniors will be drawn to play with juniors. WAITEMATA. The members of this club played their first monthly handicap medal match on Wednesday. Miss G. Bray was the winner, and Miss Harvey second. CHRISTCHURCH. On Friday afternoon at the Shirley Links, Mrs. Henry Wood presented prizes for a match, which resulted in a tie between Mrs. Andrae and Miss Moore in the senior division, and a win for Miss D. Moore in the junior. On Saturday the “Islington C-up” was played for at Shirley. The result was a tie between Miss Cowlishaw and Mr. George Rhodes and Mids Symes and Mr. Godley. which will be played off at an early date.
