CAMBRIDGE.
March 25. Theatre Party. Last week Miss Beale gave a most enjoyable theatre party, at which there were about twenty young people present. Miss Beale, was wearing a pretty white embroidered muslin dress, and white and blue theatre coat, and a snood of white ribbon in her coiffure; Miss Richardson, blaek chiffon taffeta gown, and white gauze shoulder scarf; the Misses Roberts were wearing white muslin frocks and white theatre coats; Miss Middleton, white muslin; Miss Willis, white silk blouse, and! white skirt; Mrs Norman Banks, white silk; Miss Wells, black chiffon taffeta frock; Miss Myra Taylor, white muslin frock; Miss H. Wells, blaek marquisette gown over black pailette, trimmed with handsome lace. The men present were: Messrs N. Banks, M. Wells, C. Mcßride, J. Banks. Innes Taylor, A. Richardson, K. Browne, v Thompson, A. Willis, F. Reynolds. Polo Tournament. We are anticipating a very gay week next week, as the South Auckland Polo Tournament is being held on Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and polo sjxjrtb on Saturday. Tennis. The Misses Willis had a few friends for tennis to-day, amongst those present being: Mrs Nieoll, Mrs A. B. Herrold (Romuera), Miss Gwynneth, Miss Brooks, Miss Middleton, and Miss Attlield. Personal. Miss Attfield, sister of Mrs (Dr.) Roberts, arrived by the Moldavia last week from England to pay a long visit to Cambridge. Mrs A. 11. Nieoll returned on Thursday, after a mouth’s visit to Auckland. Iler sister, Mrs A. B. Herrold, of Remuera, came back with her, to be present at the polo next week. Mrs and Miss 11. Wells are at present staying in Auckland for a week or two. Mrs Yonge and her two daughters have returned to Onehunga, after a stay of
foui' months in Cambridge. . -
