There had been a time when labour, religion, and God were domestic, and when they ceased to be so they had become homeless, and people in the pursuit of things practically became homeless. In the readjustment of society they must see that the home obtained its high and proper place, and it was only women who could make the home, and there lay whatever they claimed as theirs : there was their power whieh only God eould give them, and whieh no one else could take from them or supersede. —Hishop Julius. lie hoped that the day was not far distant when members of boards would be elected on a wider franchise, and would owe their ele-tion directly to tho people. He could not for tho life of him understand the objection to using the Parliamentary roll for the purpose of electing the boards, or to the election being held on the same day as the genera! election. — Rev. P. H. Fraser, Dunedin Board of Education.
