November **. Personal. A representative gathering of Pahtttahi parishioners assembled at ■'Swarthmoor,** the residence of Mr and Mrs R. Sherratt, by invitation on Biursday last to bid farewell to the Bev. A. EL Coles, Mrs and Miss Coles, vho left for Auckland on Saturday, Mr Coles taking up mission work in India. The Rev. A. H. Coles was presented by Mr Sherratt, on behalf of the parishioners, with a purse of sovereigns, also a valedictory address. Mr J. C. Woodward spoke on behalf of .the Vestry. Mr Coles has been deservedly popular in his parish, and will be much missed. Miss Robson, late of the staff of the Gisborne Hospital, was last week presented by the matron and staff of nurses with a very handsome silver kettle and stand. Miss Robson, who has been spending a week with- Mrs Symes. left for Auckland on Saturday, her marriage with Dr. Sampson (Sydney), late of Gisborne, taking place in Auckland shortly. Mrs Todd >Waipawal is at present visiting her daughter, Mrs Burleigh, of Gisborne. Mrs De Gemes Fraser left on Wednesday night for Wellington. Mr H. I>. Williams went South on Wednesday, also Mr R. Murphy. Messrs W. Sherratt, Graham. Branson. and Carmichael returned from Napier last Wednesday.
