CANTERBURY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
We are advised by Miss E. SneydSmith. secretary of the Canterbury Horticultural Society, that the committee have been relueantly compelled to abandon the Rose Show for this year, owing to the effects of the sharp frost in October, and the subsequent dry weather and hot winds. However, the committee are considering the advisability of holding a combined show of roses, sweet peas, and earnations in January, particulars of which will be published later.
