PADDLE YOUR OWN CANOE—AUCKLAND TO WHANGAREI IN A "ROB ROY.”
Mr Charles Harwell, of Onehunga. arrived at Whangarei from Auckland on November loth in his 13ft “Rob Roy” canoe. The adventurous voyager declared that he had onjojed the trip immensely, although it had meant a lot of hard paddling. The canoe is 13ft overall, and on board are carried a *tenit, provisions, change of clothing and apparatus for wheeling the craft overland. Mr Barwell left the Town wharf, Whangarei, on the Sunday following his arrival on the return journey to Auckland.
