Topical, photo. A DOG WHICH SAVED A FAMILY. Fire broke out in the Castle Inn, King’s Lynn (England), recently, and the family, who were sleeping on the first Hoar, were awakened by the pet dog shown in the picture, The dog, sleeping in the room where the fire broke out. managed to open a spring door, and, running upstairs to its master’s room, jumped on the bed and aroused Mr. Kent, the proprietor, and his wife. They managed before escaping to get the children from an adjoining room, and throw them from a window into the arms of policemen below. The dog escaped by jumping, and was caught by a policeman.
