Vet. 29. Skating Carnival. A fancy dress skating eamivaf was held in the Alexandra Hall on Tuesday evening, at which there was a large gathering of skaters and onlookers. The following were the piize-wiunere: — Best fancy dress (lady), Miss MeNeish; best poster dress (lady), Miss Pye (Hamilton); most graceful feuly skater Miss Alite Hally; most graceful skater (gentleman), Mr. Farnsworth; mast original dress (gentleman), Mr. Ken. Brown. The judges were: Miss Beale, Mrs. HaveloekGreen, and Mr. Mu roll. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Buckland have returned to Cambridge after spending a week or two in Auckland. Mrs. J. C. Mackay is at present in Cambridge, staying with Mrs. D. L. Caldwell, and will also be t*he guest of Dr. and Mrs. Roberts. Mrs. G. U. Russell, of Christchurch, who was a former resident of <S»mbridge, paid a flying visit here last week.
