AUCKLAND GOLF CLUB’S CHAMPIONSHIP—BURNS BEATS GILLIES.
The final for the championship of the Auckland Golf Club was played on Saturday on the Club's links, at Otahuhu, between J. C. Burns, the present champion and II C Gillies, of Hamilton. Burns won easily by 10 up and 9to play. This is the second year in succession that lie has won the club championship, and he also won it three years ago. (1) J. C. Burns, the winner.
