A MODERN DREDGER FOR GISBORNE.
The new dredger, Maul, built io the order of the Gisborne Harbour Board, arrived In Auckland on Sunday from Renfrew, where she was built. The vessel embodies all the latest improvements of her class, and came out to New Zealand under the command oi Captain James Stewart. She left Renfrew on December 31,' touching at Port Said, Colombo, Fremantle, and Melbourne, the last-named port being cleared on March 2l)th. The dredger is to be docked for painting In Auckland, and thereafter will proceed to Gisborne, where she will be set to work at once.
