March 4. Bridge. Last Monday night Mrs Leslie Webster gave a most enjoyable euchre and bridge party at her residence. Cards were played in the drawing-room, which was decorated with crimson dahlias, and supper was served in the dining-room, the decorations there being with yellow and brown flowers. Miss E. Standish carried off first bridge prize, and Miss Fitzherbent second; Mr Paul first, and Mr Johnston second; Miss Bea Webster and Mr R. Standish winning the euchre. Mrs Webster received her guests in a very pretty pale blue and white silk blouse, black skirt: her tiny daughter, Vivienne, wore a dainty white muslin frock, with a pale bine sash; Miss Eriee Bayley, brown and white plaid silk; Miss Fitzherbert, green and white striped chiffon taffetas; Miss Loris Fitzherbert, rose pink chiffon taffetas; Miss Keeling (Palmerston North), white crepe de ehine; Miss Newman, white silk muslin, pink flowers on corsage: Miss Ethel Standish, pate blue silk; Miss Sybil Thomson, white silk; Miss Mildred Thomson, pale blue silk; Miss L. Webster, pink silk, trimmed cream insertion; Miss B. Webster, white muslin, spray of crimson flowers on bodice; Miss M. _Fookes, black and white striped chiffon taffetas, spray of shaded roses on corsage; Miss Tanzy (Mangaweka), white muslin; Mrs Paul, black satin charmeuse, bodice trimmed cream lace; Messrs Paul, Johnston, Fitzherbert, Bewley, Robertson, Standish, Fairbrothers, Webster (2), Greatbach, etc., etc. The Theatre. Our old favourites, the Troubadours, have visited us once again, and playing, I am pleased to say, to good houses. Mr and Mrs Rule (of Christchurch) are the guests of Mrs Paul, New Plymouth.

Mrs Swinnerton (of Auckland), who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs C. H. Burgess (New Plymouth), has now returned.

Mrs Fitzherbert, who has been on a visit, to Palmerston, has now returned to New Plymouth. Mr Victor Fitzherbert has left New Plymouth for Sydney, where he intends studying for the theatrical profession. Mr Fitzherbert was presented with a suit case by the members of the Ama. teur Theatrical Company, for whom he has acted as stage manager on several occasions.
