SWIMMING.
Thames Carnival. The Thames Swimming Club’s annual sports took place on Saturday afternoon at the public baths, and were a decided success. Most of the open events were won by Auckland competitors. The following arc the results:— 50yds Club Handicap. — Alley 1, Fleming 2. 100yds Breast-stroke R?ice.—Horton (Auckland. 1. Mulvihill ‘Auckland) 2. 25yds Boys’ Race. —Brownlee 1, Melhose Neat Dive.- Matthews (Auckland). 100yds Open Handicap.—O’Hare (Auckland* 1. Stewart «Auckland) 2. 50yds Boys’ Race. Bovaird (.Auckland) 1, Bayldon 2. Corfu Dive.—Sommervill. 50yds (open).— Mulvihill (Auckland) 1, ■Murray (Auckland) 2. Submarine Race. Horton (Auckland) 1, Lanigan 2. Relay Race.—Waiteinata A 1, Wa item ata B 2. The water polo match was won by Waitemata from Thames by 3 goals to 1.
