THE FIRST IN NEW ZEALAND— BOY SCOUTS’ HALL AT NORTHCOTE OPENED.
The new Boy Scouts’ Hall, at Northcole. Auckland, the first of its kind in the Dominion, was opened on Saturday by the Mayor of the forcugh (Mr. 11. Cadness). Some 3<K» hoys, including a troop of mounted scouts from Takapuna, were present. Addresses were given by the Mavor. Chief Scoutmaster Horace Stubbing (Inspector for the Auckland district!. Captain A. Pluggje (District 4'ommander of Boy Scouts!. Dr. It. 11. Makgiil (Commander of the North island Division!. Mr. (’. 11. i’oole, MJ’., Bev. W. E. Gillam, Councillors 11. Hunt and Van Veen, and a native chief. Ilapi Te Pataka.
