February 4 Bridge. Miss Kerr gave a small bridge party last week. The prizes were won by Miss Ida Stevenson and Mr. Fletcher. Amongst those present were: Misses Brettargh, H. Anderson, Brabant (Napier), Kerr, W. Anderson, and others. During the evening songs were sung by Misses Kerr, D. Brettargh, and H. Anderson. On Wednesday evening the Misses Brettargh gave a bridge party. Amongst those present were: Misses W. Anderson, Ida .Stevenson, Kerr, H. Anderson, Brettargh (2), and others. On Thursday afternoon they gave a book-title tea. Miss G. Christie won the prize. Amongst those present were: Misses Nixon, Bayly, Fairburn, Brookfield, G. Anderson, H. Anderson, S. Dymock, C. Nixon, P. Nixon, L. Williams, Brookfield, and others. Town Title Tea. Miss <;. Christie gave a town title tea on Tuesday afternoon. The Ist prize was tied for by Misses W. Brettargh and Miss 1). Mrs. John Watt, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to Auckland and Rotorua. Mrs. Gonville Saunders, of Wanganui, is spending some weeks in Hawke’s Bay with relations. Aliss Brabant, of Napier, who has been stay ing in Wanganui with'Mrs. John Anderson has returned to her home. Miss Rechart, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to the Mountain House. Mrs. and the Misses Mason, of Wanganui, are staying in Hawke’s Bay with Mrs. Sydney Johnston. Miss Mason was one of her cousin’s, Miss Meta Johnston’s, bridesmaids. Mrs. Skerman, of Marton, has been staying in Wanganui. Miss Norris, of Wanganui, has returned from her holiday in the South Island Mrs. Colin Campbell, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to Feilding, where she was the guest of Mrs. Aylmer. The Rev. 11. and Mrs. Dove, of Wanganui, have returned to their home after the holidays. Mr. Leslie Peck, of Wanganui, has returned from his visit to England. Mr. and Airs. Atkinson, of Wanganui, have returned from their visit to England and the Continent. Mr. Butterworth, of Wanganui, has returned from his holiday in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. D. Meldrum, of Wanganui, have returned from their visit to relations in Auckland. HULL
