We may also add that your pipes were chosen for this work as they gave the most satisfactory results of all tests made on the sample pipes, which were submitted with the tenders, and ■ .... — that the whole of the pipes (some fifteen thousand) supplied by you were well up to sample. The following is a note of some of the tests:— Pipe gained only 4 per cent, in weight, after 24 hours in water, specification allowed, 5 per cent.
