TARANAKI.

Fire at Stratford. A fire which occurred at 2.15 on Wednesday gutted the premises occupied by Mr. F. Ketteg, draper; and the stock of Mr. M. C. Aagaard, saddler, in the adjoining premises, was damaged by fire, smoke, and water. The buildings were owned by Mr. C. E. Major, of Hawera, and were insured for £4OO in the Sun office. Mr. Ketteg’s stock was insured for £750 in the Norwich Union, and. Mr. Aagaard’s stock and plant for £ 150 in the Sun. v Mr. Ketteg 'estimates his loss at several hundi rds over the insurance.
