September 2. Children's Fancy Dress Dance. Miss Easther’s fancy dress dance for her pupils was held in 'St. Patrick’s Hall last Friday evening. It was a very pretty sight to see the children in their fancy costumes. The supper tables were prettily decorated with spring flowers. Personal. Mrs. J. Bell, “Hillersden,” has returned from her visit to Hawera. Mr. Tidey is on a visit to Wellington. Messrs. R. and J. Bell have returned from their short visit to Napier. Mrs. Davies (Napier) is visiting Mr. and Mrs. H. Burden. Mr. and Mrs. Tilly are visiting Wellington. Mr. Webb has gone for a trip to Adelaide. Mr. and Mrs. C. Mills and Mrs. F. Bull are visiting Kaikoura. Mrs. D. Strachan is visiting Mrs. A. Mcßae, “Atlimarloek.” Miss B. Stace, who has been the guest of Mrs. Rogers, “Eltham Ix>dge,” has returned to “Robin Hood Bay.” Miss Amuri Neville has returned from her visit to Wellington. Mrs. Monro, “Bank House,” and Miss Clouston have returned from Wellington. Miss Gladys Adams, who has been visiting Mrs. R. Adams, has returned to Nelson. (Miss Ross is on a visit to Wellington.
