Johnson v. Jeffries. 'A few days ago Jeffries deposited '£looo with the promoters of Johnson’s matches as evidence of his willingness to fight. Johnson has now put down a similar amount to bind the match.
James J. Jeffries, who has challenged Jack Johnson for the world’s championship, has sailed for Europe. He takes the waters at Carlsbad, and then goes into strict training for the match. He hopes to fight Johnson early in 1910.
