Johnny-?” Johnny: “Why—er—it goes straight to the stomach, just like it does any other time.” Mother —“Johnny, you said you’d been to Sunday-school.” Johnny (with a far-away look) — “Yes’m.” Mother—“ How does it happen that your hands smell fishy?” Johnny—“l—l carried home th’ Sun-day-school paper, an’—an' th’ outside page is all about Jonah an’ th’ whale.”
