NEW LAUNCH FOR THE UPPER REACHES OF THE WANGANUI.
Messrs llatrick and Co.'s line new steel steamer “Waireka,” which is to run between Taumarunui and the Houseboat. Sh? will carry 80 passengeis. this enterprising firm has now no less than 14 boats on its list. The steamer In the stream lying alongside the wharf is the old favourite, the “Wairere,” with which the firm inaugurated the service in the year 1892.
