Motor Launch Racing, The New Zealand Power Boat Association held their fourth series of class races on Saturday, at Auckland, over the usual harbour course. The races were held under the uew handicap rules, which provide for each boat owner supplying the time in which his launch can cover the course. The handicaps are then worked out in accordance with the information supplied, and if any boat covers the distance in less time than the time supplied, including a 2J per cent, margin, such boat will be disqualified. Three races were arranged and two eventuated, the only other event lapsing owing to but one of the two entrants appearing at the starting line. The races passed off very successfully, and it was not necessary to disqualify any of the competitors. Reid’s two launches gave an exhibition speed race. The competitors were the Seabird and the new speed launch Regalia.
