ATHLETICS.
Half-mile Championship. An attempt is being made to induce Trembath, the half-mile Australasian champion, to meet Haskins, the American intercollegiate champion, at Dunedin on March 20. The local man is agreeable providing that Haskins is reasonable m his conditions for the distances, lie felt that the match should be run in Gore.
