Dear Bee, October 23. The “ breaking-up ” in connection with Miss Beere’s dancing class took place in the Municipal Hull on Thursday night, in the presence of a large gathering ot relatives and friends of the pupils. Lady I’lunket, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Waterfield, was present. Others there were the Misses Eraser, Mrs. 11. >S. Abraham, and the Misses Abraham, Mrs. Lionel Abraham, Mrs. Loughnan, Mrs. Morrah, Mrs. and Miss Monro, Mrs. Porrett, Mrs. C. E. Waldegrave and the Misses Waldegrave, Mrs. 11. It. \\ aidegrave and Mis» Waldegrave. Miss -Robertson (Wellington), Mrs. and Miss Warburton, Miss Russell, Mrs. F. Leckie (Wellington), the Misses Bell, McLennan, Monckton, Turner, Remmel, Mrs. (Barnieoat, Mrs. and Miss Watson, Mrs. Cohen, Mrs. W. Strang, Miss Green, Mrs. Bendall, Mrs. W. Kee.ing, Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. Homan, Miss Porter, Mrs. Dernier, (Feilding). Mrs. McKnight, Mrs. Guy, Mrs. Moeller, Mrs. W. L. Fitzherbert, and many others. Miss Porter, Main-street, entertained a few friends at bridge hist week. Those playing were Miss Porter, Miss Lord, Miss Reed and Miss Mabel Smith, Messrs. IS. Heed, Collins, H. B. L. Smith and Sjiencer. On Monday night jtrs. W, Coombs, Church-street, also had friendls for bridge, The players were Mrs. and Miss Coombs, Mrs. J. Bell and Miss Lord, Mr. Armstrong, Mr, E. Dell, Mr. G. Bell (Wellington), and Mr. Fuller. Air. W. Bendall, College-street, gave a small boys’ party on last Saturday afternoon for her little sons, Brian and Frank. Mrs. A. Russel Fitzherbert, is giving a small da nee at her residence to-night. PERSONAL NOTES. Miss Robertson (Wellington), is the j;uest of Mrs. H. R. Waldegrave. Miss Pownall' (Wellington) is staying With Mrs, A. Thompson. Mr. G. Bell (Wellington) spent a few days last week with his aunt, Mrs. J. Holl, Palmerston. Sir Joseph aiid Lady Ward were visitors to Palmerston last week.
