Orange Blossoms

HAMLI N—WALKER. A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Albans’ Church, Mt. Roskill, Auckland, on 13th October, when Miss Alice Walker, daughter of Mr Alfred Walker, sharebroker, Auckland, was married to Mr Haslett Hamlin, of the Union Co.’s office, Wellington, and son of Mr F. Hamlin, Alt. Albert, Auckland. The church was artistically decorated with white flowers. The Rev. H. B. Wingfield conducted the service, and Miss A. Paton officiated at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a ■ handsome cream crystal voile, with panels of silk lace, and lace yoke and sleeves. She wore a beautiful embroidered veil over a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a lovely shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were the Misses May and Irene Walker, sisters of the bride. They were attired in dainty white embroidered muslin frocks, white silk laee hats, with forget-me-nots and pink hawthoine, and carried bouquets of blue hyacinths and pink ranunculus and maiden hair. Mr A. Allison acted as best man. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at breakfast at " Warn tali,” the residence of the bride’s parents, when the usual toasts were proposed, and duly honoured. Later Mr and Mrs Hamlin left for their new home in Wellington, the bride wearing a travelling dress of grey check, eoat and skirt, with strappings of white cloth and a white hat, with floral crown. Airs Walker (mother of the bride), wore a heliotrope striped voile, trimmed with eream filet lace, and a handsome floral toque. Mrs Hamlin (mother of bridegroom) was attired in a. black silk; Miss Hamlin, very pretty pink French muslin, and hat to match; Miss Walker. Eton lustre costume, very handsome violet toque; Airs Lipseome, cream lustre.
