Changes on the moon's surface, especially near the crater Linnaeus, are now recognised by- Pickering, Barnard and others. It is concluded that the diminution of a white pateh must be a melting of hoar frost at sunrise, and that the deposition and melting of frost must be taking place in other parts of the moon.
