The winner was a poor performer as a two-year-old, only winning one of her engagements out of six starts, being successful in a small event with 6.3 on her back. Signorinetta is the first fitly to win the event since 1882. when the Duke of Westminster’s filly Shotover was successful. Tlie nice was run in beautiful sunny weather. The King and Queen were present. and the crowd was the largest seen for years. 18 horses started. Signorinettta Won easily by two lengths, a neck separating the second and third horses.
