Dear Bee, May 28. Last Thursday Mrs. Hoadley gave one of the most enjoyable of dances in the Foresters’ Hall. The ball-room was one mass of fern-trees and lovely roses. Given a splendid floor, and a capital band, it was impossible not to thoroughly enjoy oneself. The supper-table was beautifully dtecorated with pink roses and ferns. It is unnecessary to enlarge upon the

graciousness of our charming Mrs. Hoadley, and the danee went with at swing from beginning to end. Mrs. Hoadley wore a graceful soft black lace frock relieved with laee; Miss Hoadley looked charming in silver-spangled net frock, over white glace, silver belt, touches of pale blue; Miss L. PERSONALS. Mrs. W. Anderson, of Gisborne, is epending some weeks in Napier. Mrs. A. F. Kennedy has returned to Gisborne from a visit to Napier. Miss Williams, of Napier, is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Cook, of Dunedin, is spending some weeks in Napier.

Miss Miles has returned to Timaru from * visit to Napier.

Mrs. Baxter, Napier, is in Wellington for some weeks. Mrs. Balfour, of Napier, is on a visit to the Wairarapa.
