PERU WINS THE AUSTRALIAN CUP. MELBOURNE, Tuesday. The V R.U Autumn Meeting was continued at Flemington to-day. The third day’s racing of tli6 V.R.C. Autumn Meeting took place to-day at Flemington. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. From the opening of the course up to the first race the bell was tolled every minute in memory of the late Marquis of Linlithgow. The withdrawal of Mountain King from the All-Aged Stakes was a disappointment, as a meeting between him and the Englishbred Antonio was expected. The New Zea-land-bred mare Munjeet was one of the pacemakers’ in the early stages; but she failed to stay it out when the crucial test came in the run up the straight. Antonio answered all demands when called upon, and he ran home in adv?!’;* Ebullition. The Autumn was Troh by Jabk Smith.
