The Yellow Peril Again.
An amusing comment appears in a recent issue of the “Pekin and Tientsin Times” regarding an imitation, recently produced in Japan, of Messrs Lea & Perrins’ celebrated Worcestershire sauce. As our readers will notice, the wording of the label is of a decidedly “original” character, and if the contents of the bottle are as horrible as the English used in their description, we venture to think that the quicker our Japanese allies return to the genuine article, the better it will be for them! Japanese “Pikearation” at LEA and PERRINS' Worcestershire Sauce. Suitable for “Roups”, “Nrats” and “Palad" Dressing. Kurisu Original ami Genuine Worcestershire Sauce The most Wnolesons Pikearation being manufactured from the Best and Purest Opeiatal Ingreddirrts lieeoines a Condiment, appetising, -most palatable and nntriatoua reat being perint. That is a delightful touch about the “Opeiatal Ingreddirrts.” Evidently a new form of the “what is it” or “Gazeka” style of advertisement.
