AUCKLAND PROVINCE.

The Misses Reynolds (2) (Gisborne) are now on a short visit to Napier.

Mr. and Mrs. R. Barton (Gisborne) are visiting the South Island.

Mr. Agnew-Brown (Gisborne) is visiting Hawke’s Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pittar (Auckland) are visiting Gisborne.

Mrs. Roehfoid Hughes returned to Auckland last week from Fiji, where she has been spending the winter months. Mr. Cargill, manager of the Union Steamship Company, Napier, paid a flying visit to Gisborne last week. Miss Agnew-Brown (Gisborne) left last Wednesday on a visit to Hawke’s Bay and Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Gillingham (Gisborne) are visiting Auckland and Rotorua.

Mr. Nevins has been visiting friends in Gisborne, and left on Saturday for Auckland, en route for Sydney. Miss H. Agnew-Brown, who has been for a trip to Auckland, returned to Gisborne on Wednesday. Mrs. Bodie (Auckland) is on a short visit to Gisborne, and is staying with Mrs. J. W. Nolan.

Miss Syme (Auckland) is visiting Gisborne, and is the guest of Mrs. J. W. Nolan.

The Misses Barker (2) (Gisborne) have returned from their short trip to Auckland.

Miss Proctor (Christchurch) is visiting Gisborne, and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. Seymour. The Misses Marsh (2), who have been staying with Mrs. Willock (Gisborne), left last week for Christchurch.

Miss Bagnall, who has been visiting friends in Gisborne, returned last week to her home in Palmerston North. The Rev. Mr. Smith, vicar of Northcote. and Mrs. Smith, contemplate visiting England next year. Miss Brassey, of Auckland, is at present staying with Dr. and Mrs. Roberts, of Cambridge.

Archdeacon and Mrs. Willis, of Cambridge, are at present in Auckland attending the Synod. Mr. and Miss H. Wells, of Cambridge, left for Auckland last Thursday, the former to attend the Synod, and the latter to pay some visits. The numerous friends of Nurse Gertrude Wilshire will be pleased to hear of the news from Vancouver that she was married on the 18th inst. to Mr. Channing Buckland, LL.B., of Auckland, New Zealand. They intend making their home in Vancouver, - where Mr. Buckland has large interests. ; Nurse Wilshire had her training at the Sydney Hospital. She is a great-grand-daughter of the late Mr. James Wilshire, the first Imperial ' Commissariat of New South Wales, granddaughter of the late Mr. James Robert Wilshire, M.L.A.. and daughter of the late Mr. Alfred Wilshire.

WELLINGTON PROVINCE.

Miss Walters (Carterton) is staying in Wellington. Miss Bell (Auckland) is the guest of Mrs. Fulton (Wellington). Mr. and Mrs. Bidwill (Wairarapa) are in Wellington for the races! Mrs. W. Barton is visiting friends in Wellington. Miss Hawdon (Canterbury) is in Wellington staying with Miss Harcourt.

Mrs.' Adams has returned to Marlborough after a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Fairclough is back in Wellington after a visit to the South Island.

Major Hughes, D. 5.0., is in Welling ton again, after a trip South.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Studholinc, who have been staying in Wellington, have gone on to Canterbury.

Mr. <«. Thorne George (Wellington) has gone to Australia for a few weeks.

Miss Seed (Wellington) has been visit* ing friends in Napier. Miss Cowie (Karori) is expected back' in Wellington by the Rimutaka, after a short trip to England.

Mrs. T. C. Williams and the Misses Williams have returned to Wellington ■after a few days in Christchurch.

Mr. and' Mrs. Hector Bethune (Wel j lington) have gone to Australia for soma months.

Miss Lukin is back in Wellington after, a visit of two or three months to relatives in Sydney.

Mrs. H. i?. Bell and Miss Bell af» going back to England for a visit next month.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams (Wairarapa), are staying with Mrs. T. C. Williams (Wellington). Mrs. and Miss Gale (Wellington) have gone to England, where the marriage of Miss Gale will take place.

Mrs. and Miss Joseph have reached. Australia on the way back to Wellington after an absence of two or three years in England and Europe.

Dr. and Mrs. Arkle, who came out from,' England a few weeks ago, are back in Wellington, after a visit to Dunedin, where Dr. Arkle has relations.

Miss Jessie Ackerman, who represents the Girls’ Realm Guild, has arrived in Wellington, where she is the guest of the Mayor and Mrs. Hislop.

Mr. and Mrs. Heaton-Rhodes arrived, in Wellington by the Wimmera, after a long visit to Queensland. They went straight on to Christchurch.

Colonel and Mrs. Baillie, who have been away for a nine months’ trip to England, are due back in Wellington in a few days’ time. Mr. and Mrs. Baleombe. Brown, who went to England with them, are not returning for two or three months yet.

The Hon. C. J. Johnston and Mrs. Johnston have reached Australia on their way back to New Zealand. They went Home in April, and expected to remain some time longer, but the death of Mr. Johnston’s brother, the Hon. Walter Johnston, caused them to alter their plans. Miss Doris Johnston is accorn* panying them.
