CAMBRIDGE.

Dear Bee, June 8. A small but very enjoyable “bridge” evening was given on Friday evening at St. Andrew’s Vicarage by Archdeacon and Mrs Willis. The latter was wearing black silk, with silk Maltese lace collar; Miss Willis, white silk blouse, trimmed with lace, and white serge skirt; Miss C. Willis, electric blue silk blouse, black silk skirt; Mrs E. E. Roberts, white lace dress over white glace silk, transparent yoke of gauged chiffon, red carnations on corsage; Mrs A. 11. Edmonds, black silk voile over black glaee, cream lace yoke; Miss Wright, white satin blouse, white French Valenciennes laee yoke, black silk skirt; Miss Gwynneth, pink silk blouse, black silk skirt. Others present were: Mr A. Willis, Dr. Roberts, A. 11. Edmonds, R. C. Dyer. There was a large number of players 'on the gilf links yesterday. The weather was perfect, and a number of interesting games were played. Afternoon tea was provided by the iady members of the club. It was hoped that a local team would have played a match with the Hamilton Club vesterday in Ha milton, but it had to be postponed.
