PALMER—JORDAN.

At the-Church of the Epiphany, Newton, on April 3, Miss Adelaide K. .lordan, third daughter of Mr and Airs J. Jordan. Ponsonby, was. married;.tp Mr Chas. 11. T. Palmer, eldest son,pi Air G. IL Palmer, Ponsonby. The iftv. W. E. Lush, ALA., ptgldated. The young couple were accorded a choral service by' the choir, of which they were past members, and the church was filled with interested spectators. The bride was given away by her father, and looked winsome and dainty in a handsome embroidered muslin frock, lavishly trimmed with French Valenciennes lace and insertion. She also wore the orthodox wreath and veil, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet, finished with chiffon and ribbon streamers. The bride was attended by her sister, Aliss Florence Palmer, and Aliss E. Sammons (cousin of the bridegroom), who were daintily dressed in white muslin dresses relieved with heliotrope. They wore white felt hats, with long ostrich feathers, and pretty heliotrope and white chiffon, intermixed and caught with mother-of-pearl buckles. They carried lovely bouquets of the same colours. Air Thomas Bloomfield acted as best man and Air Kenneth Ogilvie as groomsman. Air Chas. 11. Kingsford, organist of the church, and brother-in-law of the bride, played Mendelssohn's "Wedding March” at the conclusion of the ceremony, and also the "Bridal March,’’ as a welcome to the bride, on her arrival at the church. The bridal party were entertained by the bride’s mother, the hostess receiving her guests in a handsome blaek silk gown. Mr and Mrs Chas. Palmer, subsequently departed on their honeymoon trip, the bride wearing a smart ‘ tailormade costume of navy blue cloth, and dainty pale blue feather hat, trimmed with velvet and white wings. The happy couple were the recipients of many costly presents, conspicuous amongst them being a silver egg-cruet, from the members of the choir, a silver cake basket and biscuit barrel, from the ■ employees of Jordan’s firm, and a dainty sugar and eream set. mounted on silver stand, from the Ponsonby Druid Lodge.
