THE BROUGH-FLEMMING COMEDY COMPANY played a short season at the Opra House this week. “Dr. Wake’s Patient” and “The Passport” were the comedies staged. On Saturday last Mrs Warburton and Aliss Afargaret AValdegrave' gave the afternoon tea at the PALMERSTON LAWN TENNIS COURTS. The day was fine and the attendance better than it has been since the Christmas holidays. On Wednesday afternoon the postponed match between the Palmerston Club and the Papaioea Club—another local club— was played on the former club’s lawns. The day was ideal for tennis, and an enjoyable time was spent by all. 'The Palmerston B team were the winners by a small margin. Afternoon tea was provided by the lady members, Mrs Adams,' I lie wife of the president, acting as hostess. The Papaioea Club was represented by the Aliases Graham, L.
