CAMBRIDGE.

Dear Bee, October 13. On Wednesday there was a large and representative gathering on the local golf links to witness the closing match of the season. The day was perfect and the scene lookea very gay with the young girls in their white muslin frocks, Those presiding at the tea, Misses Williams, Taylor, and Hill, decided the day was too glorious to have the tea in the pavilion as usual, so we had an al fresco tea under a willow tree, and boiled the kettle in picnic stlye. The floral decorations consisted of a lovely bowl of "Beauty of Glazenwood” roses which was much admired. A mixed foursome match was played during the afternoon of 9 holes, the prize being half a guinea to each of the winners. Miss Brooks and Mr. A. A. Kenny were the winners with a nett score of 58; Miss H. Wells and Mr. J. L. S. Richardson ueing. second with 60. and Miss Kathleen Willis and Mr. W. R. C. Walker third with 6. The other players were Miss N. Young and Mr. Farnall; Miss Young and Mr. R. J. Roberts, Miss Gow and Mr. J. Dixon, Miss Gwen Roberts, and Mr. E. J. Wilkinson, Miss E. Skeet and Mr. I’irani, Miss Willis and Mr. B. Couper, Miss C. Willis and Mr. C. C. Buckland, Miss Clark and Mr. E. I’ayze, Miss P. Ferguson and Mr. Anderson.
