Dear Bee, March 1. Last week Cz’-rny. the master magician. appeared AT THE OPERA HOUSE for two evenings. Amongst the audience I noticed Mrs James Watt. Miss Krull, Mrs Brookfield. Mrs J. Fost r. Miss Foster, Mrs Hathcrly. Mrs and Miss E nipson, Mr and Mrs W. Barlase, Mrs Maclean. Mrs Campbell. Mr and Mrs Atkinson. Mrs Young. Mrs Pilgrim, .'dr and Mrs Prouse, and others. On Saturday there was a very large attendance at the ( A M PB EI.L-ST R E ET TE N N IS COURTS, where the tournaments are now being played oH. THE WANGANCI JOCKEY CLUB was favoured with glorious weather for the opening day of the autumn meeting. I he attendance, which was exceptionally larg*, included visitors from, all parts of the colony.
