A correspondent writes from He'en*wiHe: Dear Bee, For many weeks past we have been looking forward to oor annual agricultural show, which was held on the shew grounds. Hdensville. last Monday. The weather in the morning was anything but promising. towards mid-day, and a beautiful afternoon greatly contributed to the rnjoyment of the large number of persons present- During the afternoon the Helensville Brass Band contributed several selection*. One of the leading features of the show was the exhibition of dairy, field and garden produce, which completely filled a large marquee. The success of the show, which was the largest ever held h?re. was in a great measure due to the energy displayed by the indefatigable secretary, Mr James Hand. As a conclusion to the day’s festivities, a most enjoyable and successful dance. promoted by the show committee, was held in the Foresters’ Hall. About fifty couple* were present, and the floor was all that could be desired. A sumptuous supper was provided by the ladies’ committee. which consisted of the Misses Stewart (2), Harford i2), P.
