Dear Bee, January 13. On Tue-day afternoon a small most enjoyable musical afternoon was given by Airs. Skeet fol- Aladairie. bers, who is at present staying with her. Aladame Chambers' delighted’ all present with her singing. Airs. Skeet received her guests in a black voile, trimmed with black satin ribbon gathered; Aliss R. Skeet was wearing while silk frock, with pale blue ceinture; Aladamu Chambers, white silk blouse, blaek canvas voile, trimmed with satin ribbon over blaek glace; Airs. On Tuesday evening Mrs Wells gave a delightful musical evening at "Oakleigh,” also, for Madame Chambers. Madame Chambers, Miss R. Skeet, Mr. Hartley and Mr J. S. Richardson contributed solos, and there was a good deal of part singing. The flowers—gladioli, carnations, and Iceland poppies—were lovely. Mrs. Wells received her guests in a rich black silk, with cream vest. She was assisted by Miss Wells, who was wearing on old rose silk blouse, trimmed with Paris lace, and black silk skirt. Miss Beale, who is at present staying in the house, was wearing a black canvas voile, and Miss M. Frater (Parnell), who was also one of the house party, wore a white silk blouse, and black skirt. Madame Chambers wore a eream broeha silk blouse, and black canvas voile skirt over glace; Miss R. Skeet. white muslin, with pink flowered ceinture; Miss Wright, white and heliotrope painted muslin crossover blouse, vest of white Valenciennes lace frills, ceinture of white and heliotrope flowered ribbon, black silk skirt; Miss Brooks, white silh frock; Miss Gwynneth, pink blouse, black silk skirt. Amongst the men were:, Messrs. Wells, Richardson (2), Niceol, Hartley, Hay (2).
