Da Classes will be commenced at the Technical College, Rutland street, in the telhjwiug l>epa rt nn'Hts: (1) ART.- Tn this department, instruction to suit the i-<‘<|uii'<*inents of individual students will he given in such subjects as: Freehand Drawing in Outline, Model, and Object Drawing, Drawing in Ught and Shade from a Cast. Geometrical Drawing, Perspective. Design. Painting, etc. ‘2) COMMERCIAL. A full eouESC extending over a period of four years has been arranged for those who wish to obtain a thorough training for a business career. The Fii*st Year’s Course includes the following subjects: — Englisli Composition and Literature, Handwriting and Commercial Correspondence, French. Cunj* niercial Geography, Commercial History, Practical Mathematics, including Commercial. Arithmetic. Drawing, Book-keeping, Business Methods and 'i'ypewriting. A Special Commercial Course of One Year, for Students over 17 years vf age. to qualify them for positions as Typists, Shorthand Writers, Book-keepers, etc., lias also, been arranged. Tins course embraces English Composition and Literature, C<»mm<‘r<-ial Arithmetic, Book-keeping, Shorthand, Typewriting, Handwriting and Commercial <’orresiH»ndenee. and Business Methods ami Office Routine. (3) ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. The full course for each of these branches extends over a period of four years. The First Year's <’ourse is tiic same for each, and embraces English, French. Mechanics, (,’hemisfry, Practical Mathematics, Practical Geometry. Engineering. Drawing, ami Workshop Practice. All these Classes will be Free to students, v. ho have obtained either a Standard V I. Certificate of Proficiency or have qualified for a Fret Place in the Examination for Junior National S'liolarshijis, or have qualified in any Special Examination for Free Places held by the Education Department or by an Education Board and approved by the Minister.
