CAMBRIDGE.

Dear Bee, November 25. On Friday evening Mrs James Hally gave a moat enjoyable MUSICAL EVENING at her residence, “Valmai,” for Mrs A. Herrold, of Auckland, who is at present visiting Cambridge. The fine large room was beautifully decorated with bowls of lovely roses and crimson and white smart 11 is lilies and other flowers. Mrs Hally was wearing handsome black Bilk trimmed with rich black laee. Amongst those who contributed musical items were Mrs A. Herrold, Miss Willis, Aliss Skeet, Alias R. Rkeet, Alias J. Brooks, Miss Hodge (Auckland), and Messrs. Richardson ami MadiHson. Miss E. Young (Wellington), who is at present staying with Mrs Hull}’, gave two or three clever humorous recitations, and caused much amusement. A very

dainty supper was served during the evening. Amongst those present were: Alias Hally, in pale green crepe de chine blouse with touches of black velvet and cream lace, black silk voile skirt; Miss A. Hally, white Japanese crepe frock with string-coloured lace yoke and sleeves; Miss E. Young, pale blue Japanese embroidered silk blouse, black skirt ; Mrs A. Herrold, white embroidered muslin, white silk belt: Miss Wright, white silk fichu blouse trimmed with insertion and lace, and white muslin de noie skirt made with deep tucks; Miss 'Dunne. cream spotted net blouse made with tiny frills edged with lace, black skirt; Miss Willis, white silk blouse with white chiffon fichu frills edged with satin ribbon, black silk skirt; Alias K. Willis, white muslin frock, frills edged with lace, white bow in hair; Miss .Sheet, pale green silk blouse, black skirt; Miss R. Skeet, pate pink silk blouse trimmed with cream lace, black skirt; Miss Gwynnetb, pale pink silk blouse trimmed with silk Maltese laee, black silk skirt; Miss Brooks, pale pink silk blouse smocked, black skirt; Miss J.
