Dear Bee, November 3. The Polo Club held its annual meeting on Thursday afternocn. and the following officers were elected for the coming season: President, Air L. A. Abraham ; Vice-Presidents, Alessrs Dunk, Pringle and R. Stevens; Captain. Mr R. S. Abraham; Vice-Captain, Mr A. Strang; hon. secretary and treasurer. Air 11. G. Moore; committee, Messrs G. N. Pharazyn, J. 11. P. Strang. D. AV. Strang, and the officers ex officio. The Wellington Club wrote saying they’ would like to play Manawatu here during Christmas week, and also a match with Rangitikei. if possible. It is likely’ that a Christchurch team will be in Palmerston at the same time and p’ay several games. SILVER WEDDING DANCE. The dance given by Air and‘Mrs R. S. Abraham to celebrate their silver wedding took place on Friday, evening. They were most fortunate in having the one fine day and evening we have had for weeks past. Airs Abraham's beautiful home is situated about 2A miles from town, on the other side of the Alanawatu river, among the Fitzherbert Hills, and is an ideal house for a dance. The floral decorations were very effective, and the large hall was used as the ballroom. The supper was of the daintiest and most delicious description. 'The health of Mr and Mrs Abraham was proposed by Col. Gorton (Bulls), who made the happiest of speeches. I am sure all those who were present on Friday’ evening hope they’ will be fortunate enough io be invited to Air and Airs Abraham's “Golden Wedding” celebrations. Airs Abraham received her guests in an exquisite lavender toilette, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of the same coloured Howers. Among those. present
