Keeling (Palmerston North). Mrs Cobb (Pahiat.ua) is on a visit to Palmerston North. Miss Wells, of Cambridge, is the guest of Miss Dodgshmi, in Wanganui. Air N; Fitzhrrbert. of Wanganui, has left for a visit to Australia. Mr Morley, of England, is th* guest of AlrA Dodgshmi, in Wanganui. Mr C. Wray, of Wanganui, is visiting friends in Napier. Taggart and Miss Reed, who have been on a visit to England for over a year, returned to Palmerston North last week. Mr and Airs W. Captain AlacKellar. who has come out. te New Zealand in command of tin* Tongariro. has been for many years in the service of the New Zealand Shipping Co. He is a son of Air Dugald Ma<•Kellar, of Kell mine, W ell ington. Miss May l.ingard returned to Wei Jington by the Tongariro. Per tie* last two or three years she has been in England studying art. She was grounded at the Wellington Technical School, and .for some time held a position on the teaching staff, but resigned in order to set up a studio of ln*r own. While in England she paid frequent visits to the Continent in the intervals of her work, which has much improved. An exhibition of her works will probably soon he held. Miss Lingard broke the journey out by a stay at Capetown. The many friend- of Mr E. T. Morshead. who was for so many years connected witii the staff of the General Post. <lilice. arc delighted to hear of his good fortune. On his retirement from tin* public service Mr Morshead removed from Wellington to New Plymouth, when* he has many old friends ami associations. One* of his hobbies is music*, and while in Wellington he* did much to further its cause. His eldest son is married and li\ ing in Feilding. Manawatu. One* daugh ter, whois married io Mr Percw Blundell, is residing in Wellington. 'The- title was c-realrd in 1784. and the last holder was Sir Warwick Morshead. a brother of Ihr present baronet.
