The engagement is announced of Mi-s Ella Bruce. eldest daughter of Mrs W. J. Bruce, to Air Robert Allan, son of Mr Robert Allan, “Abberley,” St. Alban’s. The marriage of Mrs Travers (Wellington) and Colonel Wood (Nelson) wiil be celebrated quietly in Wellington on Wednesday. August 2. The engagement is announced of Miss Ruby Boylan, daughter of .Mrs E. H. Pavitt. of Gisborne, to Mr Gordon Holmes, son of Air G. G. Holmes, of Baisweil, Canterbury. 'The engagement is announced of Miss l-’annv Macfarlane. daughter of Airs .Macfarlane, Remuera, Auckland, to Air Dangar. of Svilnev. Airs Macfarlane and her daughters are at present on a four Home, and have arrived in England.
