Dear Btie, Max 29. The second Cinderella dance arranged by Mrs Riddell and Miss Philpotts took place in the Public Hall. Pict on, last Wednesday. Great preparations had been made in the way of a delicious supper, but the attendance was a very small one. Mrs Riddell were pale green broche with lace flounces; Miss Philpotts, pink silk; Mrs Madsen, cream broche and lace; Mrs Radcliffe. biack satin; Mrs .Masefield, black silk and chiffon; Mrs 11. Godfrey, black; Mrs A. Scott, blue silk: Misses Philpotts (2), white silk: Miss Macalister. cream silk; Miss Roberts, black skirt, and white silk blouse: Miss Seymour, red silk; .Miss I). .Clouston, cream silk: Miss Masefield, white silk: Miss E. Western, green silk: Miss J. Seymour, white silk, Miss R. Macalister, white silk. Messrs. Riddell. Scott, Madsen. Western. Radcliffe. Stow (2), Wicks, Fisher, and Dr. Anderson. Ihe new Ladies' Hockey Club in Pieton has started with a goodly number of members. Miss Ria Macalister was elected captain. Miss E. Philpotts vicecaptain. Mrs Redman president. Mesdames Allen. Siow, and Macalister vicepresidents. Miss May Philpotts secretary and treasurer. A Golf (. lub has also been started in Pieton. ’l'lie links are in a paddock belonging to Miss Chaytor at Waikaxva. I here should be plenty of amusement f<>r the energetic ones this winter in Pict on.
