CAMBRIDGE.

Dear Bee, Alay 27. THE CAMBRIDGE MUSICAL SOCIETY. under the able conductorsliip of Air. T. Low, gave a most successful performance of the delightful little cantata, "Phyllis,” in the Alexandra Hall, on Wednesday evening to a crowded audience. Aliss E. Mullions, who took the contralto solos, has a rieh voice, which blended beautifully with Phyllis’s in their duet. Air. T. F. Richards took the tenor solos, and noted the part of Phyllis’s country lover well. Mr G. Venables (Farmer Al.-adows) acted and sang his part in a capital manner. Air. Fawcett Rowe (baritone), ns the London Dandy, kept the audience in a constant titter when he was on the stage. The choruses were good, especially the humming chorus. Miss R. Nixon played the accompaniments throughout the piece in a pleasing manner.
